Greenpeace and toilet paper.Whats next?

On the way home this morning from a long overnight job, I happened to catch the john boy and billy show.they had a comedy skit involving Greenpeace tree huggers and toilet paper.
It appears that toilet paper is now on their hit list.Americans prefer to use baby soft toilet paper which uses more wood fiber, and Greenpiece is planning on several demonstrations later this month, doing everything that they can to push legislation into passing ordinances that would encourage using recycled paper for toilet paper.
A UK newspaper that has for some time been symphathetic to Greenpeace's cause was quoted as saying,

"The tenderness of the delicate American buttock is causing more environmental devastation than the country's love of gas-guzzling cars, fast food or McMansions, according to green campaigners. At fault, they say, is the US public's insistence on extra-soft, quilted and multi-ply products when they use the bathroom.

Americans already consume vastly more paper than any other country — about three times more per person than the average European, and 100 times more than the average person in China."

As Mad Max said, "If I am to chose between corn cobs or baby soft tissue paper, warm up the chainsaws!"

Better stock up, looks like we are going to take it up the tailpipe, in more ways than one.

Those Greenpeace bastards should be forced to use Saran Wrap, pine needles or tree bark for butt wipes. Every one of them.

Never mind greenpeace, walking round the supermarket the other day with the wife, she throws some cheap and nasty stuff into the trolley. Hey whats that for I ask.. she kindly explains that for the out side toilet( attached to and out building) ...... Guess who is the only one who use's it.... very kindly remind her that if she wants to buy it she can use it! :monkey:

When I was in the Air Force I spent a couple weeks in the UK. The only TP available in the Loo (bathroom) was rolls of WAX paper (JUST like what we use in the kitchen). Each sheet had "government property" printed on it. I took one roll and brought it home. I'll have to see if I still have it somewhere. It was useless. I think I threw away most of my underwear after that trip.

lol must be nice to be able to use the baby soft type, cant use it in my septic system, i HAVE to use the recycled type as the other plugs it up too much. but ya the huggers do take it a bit too far. i had 2 of em at the end of my driveway with sign's that said "tree killer lives here." as i have a bunch of wood piled there. told em to be back on saturday as i will bring smore home and cut it up then. hope they show up so i can post some pics.

I'm tempted to call B.S. on someone in Dryden of all places carrying around tree killer signs...
But I guess there are dumb people everywhere eh! In Vancouver or Toronto I'd believe it, but downwind of a pulpmill, its a little hard to see why someone would bother.

Just give them a vine of poison ivy with the leaves on and tell them that it is TP on a rope and report back afer use to see how good it worked.

I'd be willing to bet, that if you broke down the door on all those Greenpeace leadership idiots... And go to their bathrooms, they'd have Quilted Northern in there.

I get where you're coming from, but I doubt it. They're pretty hardcore and walk the walk. Problem is they expect everyone else to as well.

I met a member once who tried to convince me to convert to a composting toilet. Told her we already have one. I didn't mention it's a disused breezeway outhouse. Two holer. Composts into the nether regions of the barn where the chickens used to be.

We need Obama to take a position on this right away! Some sort of stimulus program to provide a soft, no wood product tp for those of us too intellectually challenged to know any better. Maybe the Federal bureau of American Sanitation.....I'll be BEHIND him all the way.....Lanny

if some idiot liberal tree hugger came at the edge of my property with signs like that i would make a special point to cut down a live lush tree right in front of them with a biggest pro saw :chainsawguy:i could find mixed at 8-1 oil ratio and laugh the whole time as a haze of thick blue smoke is plummed into the air above ,then i will wipe my arse with a hearty oversized roll off of my family size pack of quilted northern i keep on my toolbelt and proceed to sling it at them like snowballs .this is what happens when people have a twisted world view and think that trees and animals are all equal or more important than people are .

I'm starting to think avalancher should have posted this in the political forum. Within minutes down there, someone would remark that Obama's been using the constitution as tp since January 20.

We call that John Wayne Paper. It's rough and tough and don't take crap off nobody
