036 Dual port?

Does anyone sell a dual ported muffler for my 036 or do I have to make it from my current muffler? How much of a difference will I see.

FYI, I did a search and found lots of tips for doing it myself but did not find any info on a factory dual port that is available for the bigger saws.

Not is the USA... you have to make your own or buy one from someone else.

If you did a 029 muffler, the 036 should be a piece of cake.

I am a renegade on this compaired to lake, but I would say two 5/8 holes or two 3/4 inch pipes should do well.

ON a 036 you can hog out the stock hole and still use the spark screen. Thats how I did mine years ago.

I agree... Nothing special with "dual port" in that open can muffler.

Go much bigger, and you just get more noise without any more power.

Did my 044 the same as tek9tim. Also I tried welding some 1/2 eletrical conduit on some thick sheet metal and kept burning thru with the wire feed even with the galvanizing ground off, I think the galvanizing gets deep into the metal. May look for some other thin walled pipe and try it for a "Dual Port" mod. But the larger side port sure woke the saw up, the idle went up a ton. Just have to find some wood to try it on, city living sucks for that!!! opcorn:
