Salutations everyone,
Need some help with finding some parts for this project. After returning from my local dealer with a few parts of the puzzle I need a couple more to complete it.
The clutch/sprocket cover which came with the saw is part number 9 1110 648 0404.
The used clutch/sprocket cover which I purchased with all the internals is 9 1110 648 0405.
The main differences between these two is the type of braking system. The former uses some type of clutch pack which appeared on the microfiche to halt or limit crank shaft rotation when engaged. The latter utilizes the more familiar style of arrester, band around the drum.
What I need is apparently no longer available. It's the orange Mg piece which the hand guard pivots on to engage the brake lever. I was told I can order the hand guard assy brand new, which is nice. Dealer gave me this part number 1110 791 3900.
Anyone with an idea where I can get such a part? I'd also be interested in a new cover if someone has it. This would save me the time of sand blasting and repainting the used cover. Matching paint is not one of my forte'.
Also I need the parts to convert from a spur sprocket to a rim sprocket. Dealer said Stihl conversion kits NLA. Is there an Oregon brand match. I just installed the 8 pin sprocket on the 046 and wish to use the 7 pin from it on the 041.
TIA
Candice
