Finally got my worm seal after a little over three weeks backorder from dealer. Little one is making her way into the world so will have to wait until she and mom can come home and get settled in to work on my 075. But I guess I can deal with a delay such as this one:) ! May have to see if I can get my paws on SE of the factory part info based on my SN out of the paperwork you have been lent Pogo.

Pm sent. Both mom and baby girl are doing well, thank you sir. Also have a new 362 cm at the house to play with ;-) lots of new girls coming home and coming together!

Well a little shop time this evening yielded some great results. Initial vac. Test couldn't hold vac with a shop vac as source. Replaced all oil seals after waiting over 3 weeks for worm seal. Pres./vac still leaking traced down to O ring on oiler adjusting lever. Replaced and passed pres/vac test w flying colors. Back together new fuel lines filter and carb kit plug. All av buffers replaced. Elasto start installed. Need to find new kill switch for it sometime. Figured while I had it all torn down repaint it and Freshen up a bit.
Here is what I started with…image.jpg

Have to wait until tomorrow to check cold starts but she is starting pretty well as of right now. Seems to still give me some problems flipped on its side which is no go since it is a mill saw argh Didn't have time to get her in wood tonight. 41" B/C. Anyone know where to get name plates re lettered?

Very nice!

As for the nameplate, Scooterbum was doing some a while back, but you could probably get any decal shop to make you one if you don't have any luck on ebay or with some of the reseller guys. Heck, check with Definitave Dave or Chris "Duke" Thieroff and see if they may have one laying around. May even get lucky over in the Swap Meet.

PM inbound on some other parts info, btw.

If your saw came with points it required a specific coil. Then came some early electric that had a doughnut looking trigger. Then there was an electric coil with a trigger that came mounted on the cases below the top handle. I have 2 051 and a 076. If I get time next weekend. I will tear them down and post some picture. I have some parts saws too.
the coils I have are the 2 leg electronic coils. There doesnt seem to be other models that use these, can you let me know of
any other stihls use them

Well, I sorta hit a new milestone today in my attempts to compile info on various versions of these damned 1111 oilers by simply taking a coupla pics of an ignition illustration and the associated part numbers from DDave's binder to send to Kfd518. Was quite surprised at how legible everything was (considering the pics were from my phone) after re-sizing for the forum format. Think I'll keep going on a volume by volume basis and see how it turns out. Gotta get it all back to DDave pretty soon if I expect him to trust me with the..., well, never mind. Gotta give huge props to Dave for lending me this material in the first place. Pure 1111 gold.

Had to steal the starter housing off of my 075 as the fan housing was damaged ad I'm building a NOS starter, but I still need the fan housing. Runs perfect but I have to get a new oil pump oring and rubber ring to seal the pump. They both looked fine but are not.

Would love to see the pics of that. I need pawl starter to finish my 051. My pawl sheave wont fit in the dawg sheave shaft, smaller diam, and I dont know how the spring works,....

Exactly!! It is a different diameter stud that the sheave mounts on? Can they be swapped out? Can the spring arrangement be swapped out?
