050 051 075 076 Info Thread

For what it's worth, I rebuilt two 076s a few years ago with my Stihl mechanic. We needed a pretty good supply of parts, and a friend in Australia was able to get all of them from his Stihl dealer, and ship to me.

All parts--to my understanding at least--are still made and available in Germany, it's just a matter of finding a country where a Stihl dealer has them.

I have taken it apart and it has a spark arrestor screen (home made I think)

This is nice work. That muffler is 050/051 right? Probably not much difference to 075 on the inside. If mine is also empty inside then complete baffle is broken off. That rattling piece feels big and heavy. Will try to borrow endoscope camera to look inside.
