I paid a visit to my Father in law the other day who was preparing for a firewood collection trip (82 years young) and found him upset as his trusty 056 Super would not start. I decided to come to the rescue, could someone please provide assistance with service manual and IPL.

It may also have the SEM ignition. Check for spark

I have checked ignition and is faulty, SEM GA, have ordered 1108-400-0800.
I am not experienced with saw maintenance, if someone could help with a service manual it would-be appreciated.

find the beg for manuals thread and ask in there for the ipl and service manuals

The newer sem ignition modules are still available but come at a $230 price tag. I just switched a 056 mag 2 to that new style. Had to change the flywheel too. That's the hard on eto find

I was surfing E bay the other day and noticed aftermarket Ga for $99 Hepeng was the brand . Thought about buying one to try ,,, but I’m still good on Sem Ga ignitions

Tried uploading the service manual, but it’s too big; i’m not sure how to shrink it?

If his saw has the SEM GA ignition it already has the newest style flywheel. part number 1115 400 1208
