I'm slowing getting the bug to do a very light port job (clean-up)
I don't know enough about to really be doing it, but i'm going to try.
Cylinder is off a later 066 that I bought (dead).

I'm thinking the scoring may give up a little compression.
Or is it worst............ than I think it is?

I'm not trying to patch it up, to pawn off on someone
Just playing and trying to learn a thing or two :)

By the picture it looks ok. use a scotch bright and use it.
what does the piston look like ?
did you do a compression test on your saw before you took it apart ?

I should have said that, I have already honed the cylinder.

Piston, had section of ring land missing at exhaust port

Compression, it had so little that their was no need to test it.
Big end rod bearing was toasted also.

Well slap it together and check the squish.:blob2:

Manual, I can't.........the running 066 is still running to good to
be :monkey: withe it :) I need a case with crank......have'nt
found one that fits in the buget yet......I want to get the 064
running first.
