I just hate explaining when someone doesn't get it with "8 X 10 glossies with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one."
'(Alices Restaraunt,1966)

Actually I will explain the obscure, because I miss the obvious.

Arlo Guthrie?

I love open wheel racing. Grew up In Belleville, Kansas, Home of the Belleville Midget Nationals. Huge USAC midget race. World of Outlaws used to run there too. I met Jeff Gordon there in 1990 after he won the A-Main. Used to drink beer and party with Tony Stewart as well. All before these boys became famous.

I know what you mean... I like to say quotes from "Dr. Strangelove", and alot of people (even older people) look at me like I have 2 heads. When I tell them the movie it is from, they always say the same ting: Isn't that the movie where the guy rides the bomb down?:hmm3grin2orange:

a guy in our shop got his first 3/4 midget with spare motor and trailer for $650 a HD 45. had to bore it over .018 when on alkie. .009 and it would seize.
We had a museum on Costa Mesa, with the Baker Street Garage, where Gurney built his Indy engine each year. The place was owned by the guy that invented the racing stripe, and why.

Who invented the racing stripe and why.HINT a Caddy model was named after him and he won the Americas cup in 4 races straight.

I picked it up for another AS member.
He is coming in the morning to get it.

Dan,

I will be down to pick it up Sunday. The guy I had to take the jointer too will not be home until 1:30PM so I will need to deliver it at a later. I will call you in the morning but I would imagine I will be at your place around 10-11AM.
