Has anyone owned one of these? What did you think of it? It seemed to have a long stroke that would give it tons of torque.
Did these saws come with a spur or a rim sprocket?
Thanks, John

I know of one still in the box or it is a 076, the ones i have seen run are lower rpm's ,lots of torque but not the greatest thing to run , when you shut it off you still vibrate for a hour or so after wards and they are built like a box a big box

Kind of an 051 super. Should have had a seat and a steering wheel.
I used to have the oilers leak by and fill up the cylinder with bar oil. A real bear to clear out and get running again. Had two of them at the same time running out side. Some guy came into the shop looks around and says,"I did not know you worked on Harleys."

ive got an old 076 i fire up every now an then just to hear it rumble..

Can you get a rim sprocket for these saws?

How about parts; do most things interchange between the 051 and 075 except the jug and piston?
Thanks, John

I had an 075 that I ran for years. It did have lots of torque to pull through anything. I also have an 051 that I still use for stump cuts. I can't say I would want to lug either of them very far, but they are fun to run. Both saws were purchased new and I sold the 075 last year to someone on this site. They are tough saws.
