076 or 076 super

How do you tell the differnce between the 2. Will be looking at one this weekend. Also found a 028 woodboss and a 066 too.

Just off the top of my head, I'd say it's the bore diameter. I've only handled one just in passing. Sorry I don't have more info. Someone on here will know for sure.

There are three differences I know of betweent the two saws. ONe is an extra intake flange mounted before the carb on the super. The 076 uses the HS-60D as the Carb. The super uses a WS-26a as the carb. The filter cover is different for the super. The cover for a 076 is almost flat. The supers cover is thicker and slopes down to the kill switch and choke lever.

I read somewhere that the bore is not different between the 076 and the 076 super.

The 076 and 076 super have the same displacement (111cc). They use the same p&c as the 075, 076, and the ts 760 concrete saw. Most of this info is already contained in past threads.

Hello, if i remember rite stihl advertised in one of there brochers that the 076 super had altered the ing.timming and changed the carb. from the straight 076, and i have noticed the airfilter cover sets higher up out of the handle frame on the 076 super , The 076 super i own has no comp.releese but i bought it used and it may have been plugged. I would have to say if the airfilter cover sets up high its most likely an 076 super. The 075 , 076, and 076 super all have the same bore and stroke and are 111 ccs.
