I have an 088 I'd like to have "walkerized". Where (or who) is a good place to have this done???? Thanks!

My question is what type of cutting do you plan on doing with this saw after it is modded? Or how fast do you want the saw?

Later,
Chris

I would recomend a good muffler mod, clean the ports up and a little carb work. You are in the cut for so long that heat is a bigger issue than Hp. I would also recomend running good High test fuel to try and lower exhaust tempuratures.
A good builder will take there time to explain what they are doing to your saw. Make sure they know you plan on milling with it.
And yes I have done some building but don't build anything till after my timbersports season.

Later,
Chris

I'll second that Steve, OL' KD has got the right stuff. Jon

I would have to recommend ole Ken as well, I don't think Dan has done many 088's yet.
Anywho, here's an 088 worksaw that Ken built for me a few years ago with no problems at all.

Thanks for the video... Thats what I'm lookin for, of corse it was nice just seeing a saw like that in action!!!:D

Based on personal and others' experiences over the last few years, it's Ken Dunn, hands down. He's where many of the few saw builders on this forum got their basic porting and modification info anyway. Unlike others, Ken actually knows why things work the way they do, rather than copying what someone else has done. No BS, no hearsay, no ethics issues, no controversy. Yes, it will take a little longer to get it back, but Ken puts a solid 10 hours actual work time into a typical modded woods saw. He also has some optional features that can be incorporated into the 088, specifically. Don't even bother going anywhere else, even if his price happens to be a little higher than others. With Ken, you always get more than you pay for.

Why should anybody deal with a person that's not on the forum sponsor list? Will the forum help you if someone tries to defraud you? Has there been any trouble with these builders in the past?
Thanks for any help, just trying to decide whether to use somebody or build a saw myself.

For having just one post you sure don't hesitate to state your opinion...:alien:

Stating my opinion, I think asked three questions.

Do you use any of the builders on this forum?

ok. No I have not. I do know that "most" of the guys on this forum are good people. I just bought the 88 and couldn't tell ya who to go with.
