Just in case anyone is interested the 090 originally came with a brass screen air filter. I guess that one is NLA but a flocked one is still available. It is flat just like the original screen but has flocking.

The Cincinnati distributor didn't have it in stock and maybe not in Virginia either since it took 3 weeks + to get it. Maybe it came from Germany.

Seems like a good upgrade for those with an 090 and the old screen type.

About $16 from the dealer. If anyone needs the part number I (or others) can give it to you.

Might have come from NZ.. local dealer had them in stock when I needed one last year ;)
But yes, much better than a wire one.

The wire air filters are not that bad. You just have to remember to recoat them with oil after you clean them. With no oil on the screen the air filter is not effective.
