Cheers boys. she is one very tidy unit, couldn't be happier with it ....still got a big grin from ear to ear.
All the years waiting/thinking one day ill find her back & get to run one of my all time favourites again, its been a long wait to have another 090 on the farm, and gee what a find this one was, its been totally worth knocking back a few flogged/abused ones while waiting to find a near un-used late model 090av completely undamaged, with all parts being in A1 condition. Even the fuel lines are like they where when she rolled of the factory floor in Germany.
With added bonus of having the metal name plate's on the top cover.... ..thanks for the comments guys! :msp_thumbsup:

Thats a real nice 090AV.

I've never ran a "G", but I've ran an 090 and an 090AV. I would not own a regular 090 knowing there's AV models out there. The difference in vibs is unbelievable. They'll both beat you up but the AV is just way more comfortable to run IMO.

Great score friend! :msp_thumbup:

cheers mate. yeah the old 090 i had 10 years ago was like running a classic harley with no suspension, still awesome fun to feel the raw power. With the AV especially the latter models, its still got some vib compared to modern saws, but there's still nothing like feeling the pure grunt of a ballsy german old school all metal saw. ...I love running them, might get sore at the end of the day but the grin always remains

No lets see some 090AV live action!
was going to take her out on her maiden voyage today, but where getting wicked thunder and its getting black, need the lights on to see. lol,

edit: we live in the Granite belt, which attracts massive lightning storms. Moruya was actually called Granite town around 100 years ago (The Sydney harbour Bridges Pylons and granite statue's in martin place Sydney, where all cut from our granite mine and shipped to Sydney, lots of Gold vanes running threw the quarts too)

Hey Man NICE find... these one are very rare and of course very expensive as well today... Bargain can still be found as I managed to get one (not AV) from the original owner that he bought a 090 in 1968! I get it for $300 CAD. it is also in great condition. It has been stored in a dry place for years, I just called him and asked him if he would sell it, so he said sure!. It will be fun to restore it.
Have fun with yours!

yep not cheap, but there worth every penny and then some,!!! good luck with your restore if it happens, there defently a saw that'll make you smile & appreciate old-school Muscle! if you have the opportunity to get a good runner into wood, you'll have a new understanding of what Torque really is.

I would have to disagree with you there. The 090's are so heavy that the vibes are really not that bad. I have an 090G that runs smooth, but never run an AV. Any 090 is a pleasure to own.

In any case, it is really too heavy a saw to be practical in North America.
