Green side up! Breath in........Breath out! Now.......you should at least live. Or, do you need to be told more?

Take a look at the situation. If something doesn't look/sound right.........just maybe one should check it out! I suppose they couldn't hear the extra noise over their Ipod.

Did you start it before you looked at it?

When I was a kid messing around with the older 1 lung sleds, I started it without the muffler connected. Boy...that thing really idled fast!

I looked it over, piston looked perfect, though the unit is dirty its in decent shape. I don't know how long it had been like that. The muffler was obviously loose for sometime before it finally fell off. A couple new screws, a gasket and she's perking coffee like no one business again. They had to be wearing muffs to use that blower. The noise is outrageous on those things with a loose mufler, especially when its on your back, yikes.

You win but you don't win, your right but your wrong. The why I'm looking for rests with the guy that was using that blower,LOL Can you beleive that and it was still in use on a crew. Unbelievable. It makes alot of noise, I'm like okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk,LOL

Indian giver:chainsaw: But, but, but I need that $10 to help pay for that replacement 260 topend I gave to my customer.:greenchainsaw:

Haha, you was right, the screws backed out but the answer I was looking for was neglect, thats why that thing is so noisy..

You gave your customer a new cylinder, I hit the lottery this morning too,LOL

I gotta keep my camera in my toolbox because I get some gems in for repair you guys would get a kick out off.

Do that man. I got a little Sony camera I keep at the shop just for some of the mind boddling ones that come in. I get alot of stuff in that I fix on the spot that would be fun to share here but I can't snap a pic with the customer standing there.

As always there is a flip side to these things. Had a man come in today with a old FS76 trimmer. He said it doesn't idle right, its too fast. I take it outside, fired it up, adjusted the carb, set the idle, ran fine. He goes what do I owe you, I said get that thing on outta here. Only took a minute at most. I go to walk back in the shop and he follows me. I won't be paying for lunch the rest of the week, some customers are awesome, no doubt about it.....

Im surprised you wasted a good shine jar by putting gas in it.

What do you mean....an old 76 string trimmer, I've got an MATURE 80 AV and a 74. Stihl run like new ones, one is close to 35-37 years old and the other one is 20 + years old, my 10 year old 80 is just getting broke in.

My sons Husky 123L lasted a year and a half, he saw the light and bought a FS 90 4-stroke and hadn't looked back. That 76 will be running forever. lol

Yeah i jsut saw that the recomended break in period on a lighting was 100hrs

that was when you were suppose to switch from 12:1 to 16:1

not really on topic but you reminded me.

Here's a question. If the gentleman was unaware his muffler came off, he surely wouldn't have been savy enough to retune his carb. Now I understand that if you open a muffler too much, or in this case have it fall off, you lose performance, but wouldn't you still have to retune the carb to keep from scorching the p/c?

10.00 to the winner. How did this get in the oil tank of a 361. Customer doesn't know, he thought I would know, I don't know, I bet he does know,LOL

What your looking at is about 98% old fuel mix and 2% bar oil. Talk about smell, had to get it out the shop ASAP.

I'm guessing because he is a TARD
