99% of BTU ratings you see online of incorrect for firewood. I decided to see if I could come up with BTU values correct for firewood, it turned into more, a lot more.

Something seems off with the density and cord weight numbers. According to the table, most dry woods would sink in water. And, in the table, the weight of a wet cord is equal to the density of dry wood x 128 cu ft. If you compare the density of dry red oak, for example, to the weight of a dry cord, the stack would be 42% air.
