Anyone make them? I think I saw that loegering made some that wide, but now I can't find them. I'm ready to get some tracks for my S250, and no one seems to make tracks that wide.

Anyone know how well loegering tracks protect your tires from stumps, stobs, logs and debris? I'm sure they improve your flotation.

They will improve floatation and tracktion but unfortunately flat tires and punctures are still a problem. You also have to watch getting large peices of wood caught up on the inside of the track.

The tracks are generall slightly wider than your tires as they need to fit snugly. If the track is too wide the tire will just spit out of the track. I'm not sure of the width of tracks on my wheeled machines but they are all standard Bobcat tracks which should be no trouble to find.

I got the widest tires available when I bought my bobcat, I've seen a lot of 14" tracks offered but not many 15.5's. I found them again on Loegering's site, but don't know how much they cost new.

I wonder how my tires would hold up in tracks if I slimed the insides? They make some tire sealer stuff that is called bulletproof, especially for skidsteers and heavy equipment, wonder if that would help. I would hate to have to buy another set of wheels and flatproof tires to run inside my tracks if I don't have to.

I got a set of the tracks with rubber pads. They ate the crap out of my tire's sidewalls, sticks and rocks get in there and ruin new inflated tires fast. If you were only working in dirt or sand it might be ok but I was using mine in wooded areas and the flats drove me to buy solid tires. Now i dont worry at all about flats .

but don't know how much they cost new.

Be sure to bend over and touch your toes.

I kinda think tracks are a pain(especially changing flats).
If you can get by without them, but if you need them than you need them! There have been times I cussed I didn't have them and cussed when I did:cheers:

I haven't seen that size of over the tire tracks around, is that an off size skid steer tire? If its a common size tire, I'm sure they are around. I use to run a set of Maclaren Magnum Tracks on my JD 250 skid steer. Those tracks were amazing, they did rough up the side walls a bit, but never really hurt the integrity of my tires. I never once got a flat tire and I work in the wooded areas everyday jumping stumps, rocks etc. They seemed to have the best tire protection because of the larger pads they use and the spacing between them. They are also rebuild-able and you can buy rubber pads to replace the metal tracks for urban areas. In my opinion, they were well worth the extra money and if I still had a rubber tired skid steer that is what I would use. One of my competitors had a set of tracks on his Case skid steer that he got from the case dealer so I'm not sure what brand they were, but he was constantly at the tire shop and ended up having to buy some solid tires.

That is the brand I have (with rubber pads) I love them but what made them perfect was the no-flat tires!
