Company I work for just bought a Morbark M18R for 62k I believe. Dual axle, Winch and 225hp Cat. It was a demo unit and has about 70 hours on it. I saw a new one listed in the treetrader last month for over 70k, so maybe ask about a demo chipper. I'd take the trade off of 70hrs for 8k to 10k off the machine every time.

Have you thought about an M18R? It's basically a 2400xl with some updates. We just retired our 2400xl after a lifetime of abuse. They are a good chipper IMO.

The bandit's look good, would really like to try one of these larger drum machines of theirs. My 250xp has draw backs, but if it can pull it in, it chips it with authority each and every time.

I get all that, and I suppose its way more difficult to finance used equipment, but there are still sweetheart deals to be had out there if you know where to look.

Hey man, next time you find a sweetheart deal you aren't gonna buy, let me know. The good deals go fast. I missed out on a crane and a chipper this past winter. Sold almost instantly. Probably could have flipped them and made 15 to 20k

Looking for a stumper myself, missed a 252 for $2500.:bang:

Man I tell ya, I got lucky with my purchase! 2010 Bandit 1590 only had 120 hours on er, a couple little scrapes but most definitely a Brand New freaking machine! Perkins 142 Turbo Diesel, hyd. Winch Delux Chute not the Hydraulic chute. I really dont mind turning that handle to turn that entire chute around to the box to chip into. This thing says rated as a 17 inch Capacity Chipper, and I say bull #### it's more like 20 inches, cant believe it! the auto feed with all that wood, it's a dream! I picked it up for $37K... It pays to shop pick some real good deals! I dont think I would ever buy brand new price ever...:msp_sneaky:
