I have been looking into projects and there are a ton of 194t in my area. All of them just say they don't run. I was wondering are there any top ends readily available or a good after market jug and piston to put on them. I went to a few sites they don't when list 194 cylinder kits are they the same as the 192 and 193? Any help would be appreciated before I start buying up all these 194t's. Thanks in advance.

I am pretty certain the ms192 is a little different from the 194 but I do know thew 193 is the same as the 194. I have not messed with a 192 for a while so I am going by memory but something was different. the 194 p+c , as some one else mentioned, is pretty reasonable in price.

Start with any unit that confirms, muffler off, that the jug/piston is ok. Those units, which don't run, would need a complete fuel system.....or you can go straight down the rabbit hole, and start researching new engines for a saw that may need a fuel line.

Ok I will make sure that I am careful with these saws. If I start picking these up. Thanks for all the information. I was looking at the cost of parts and just didn't find much for cylinder kits. So I didn't know if the industry had a work around that I wasn't catching. Just double checking with the knowledge on the site. Thanks again for all the info it will definatly help me make a decision if I buy or pass.
