You've convinced me. Here's a short vid of it running before I replaced the carb with a NOS AJ13B: Early Hornet HJ - YouTube Still needs a little of this and that. What it really needs is one of your restorations! You obviously do some very nice work!

It is an HJ for sure what a great saw thanks for sharing it And thank for the great comments I wish I had an HJ some day

Here is my Mercury Disston DA 211 I just got.

Did you check your bars yet to see if they have a logo?

I just cleaned this one and used saftey orange to highlght the logo. It is identical now to original logo color.

Wow, Huck, is either of those gentilemen in the vid, Kevin? And how long ago would you say that vid was? I think I recognise the saw.
It's cutting sweet!

Just drug this 6 out for pics a few days ago.

This is the saw Natalie Amber tore down and cleaned out the bottom end on.
Had some crud in the bottom and would not run right.

Have never ran it since then.

I'm surprised no one ever noticed. It's a 6 that someone added an oil tank to. No pump involved, just free gravity flow which works OK until shavings block the passage.

I have one that looks like it. Mine looks
like it came from the factory that way.
Could have they made some that way??
I have a lot of the 2 mans. A lot more
one mans.

Its there, I cleaned some of the rust off and I can see it.

Did you spray the orange on and then wipe the excess off?

I saw one like this for sale on ebay 4 or 5 years ago.
The oil tank was on the same side as the one in the pic.

Mine tappers down where the oil tank
and fuel tank meet But there are no welds and has a
devider in the tank. The brass tag is
In place ??

Mine looks like such a smooth job that it may very well have been done at the factory. But I have no way of knowing for sure. Mine appears to have the original paint, at least what hasn't been chipped off over the years.
