Recently obtained a 200t in pieces. Split the case as I saw the what the case looked like, wanted to check the inside. You can see the light shining through the holes. It does not go into the oil tank, or the actual "crank case". I seems to just be in an empty void.

Do I need a new crankcase half? The only issue I see with this is the issues I could have with oiling as that surface is no longer flat. Is this also a case of "magnesium rot" (I was reading about this on some other forum a while ago)?

Also, should I go with OEM seals, or aftermarket (not ebay, I have local stores which sell high quality seals). I have already removed the seals from the crankcase.
