270 & 280 info...

I got my fiche the other day from stihl, It looks like the 270 and 280 are pretty much the same, They have them grouped up one one card along with 290 310 and 390.


Too bad it wasn't a souped up 026

So whats the verdict then? pro saw or consumer or something inbetween. Will the 270 replace the 260?

What I suspected hence my earlier comments.

The factory rep that I talked to said the 280 was going to eventually replace the 260. They would produce both until they work any bugs out of the 280. I have ran a 270 but I have not even seen the 280 yet. I can not speak to any of their features other than the anti vibe features of the 270 which are good. What will the be pro or consumer I have no idea. I can only go off of what I was told by the rep. He was not a dealer but a regional rep. Did he know what he was talking about ? I do not know.
