I am a smaller tree service without a bucket truck, when needed We have rented a 37 ft bucket and a 57 ft towable lift. I can pick this 35 ft truck up for $2k, Is it worth buying or should I just save and buy bigger.

Thanks

I used to have a 35' truck. It was useful for pruning on some oaks and smaller removals. I ended up selling it because you couldnt really reach anything and it just sat in the yard... Save up get atleast a 50' my 57' hi ranger is still about 20' to short sometimes.

Only you can really answer that question. Would a truck like that serve the bulk of your needs and do you have that particular type of work to support having it. We have a International 4700 with a Altec TA40 boom. It's a great mid size unit and serves all my needs. We had asked our self the same questions when looking to by a bucket and after going back and looking at the jobs we were doing decided to go this route. As our company grows we will continually re-asses our needs but for now this truck serves our needs well.

Save and get a 60' truck, you will be happy in the end!
