I haven't heard so much talk about how big a piece of crap a saw was since they introduced the 371/372.

My customers that have 575's are happy with them and we have yet to see a warranty issue with them. Most of them say that it has more power than the 372, especially at lower RPM's. Some other dealers have told me that the saws get a little tempermental as the weather gets colder. Have any of you guys run them in the cold and had a problem?

I'm also seeing people move to the 2171 rather than buy the 575. Espacially if I take the top cover off and they get a look at all of the new technology in there!

The dual intake tracks are only on the 570/575. Also they are on the new 455, which I feel really does belong in the pig pen.

When I take the top cover off I see alot of expensive to replace rubber goods lurking in there. I just had to replace my fuel line today and what a pain in the arse! Atleast fifty cents worth of Tygon will do the trick instead of a fancy molded and expensive hose like Stihl uses. I just replaced a fuel line on a 361 and retail on it is over nine dollars.

So the 575 is maybe going to be more of a pain to work on than the 372?
It also does not perk up as well with a muffler mod like the 372.
Hhmm. Sounds like the 372 is more user friendly.

Sure, and they say they won't make them(372)anymore. Sounds like when the automobile replaced the horse! Crying, pissin' and moaning.
I buy a new saw every year and keep two for working. So, I never have a saw that's older than two years. I don't have to have parts replaced very often so I don't worry about those things.Usually if it busts on me it happens under warranty. I've had the 575 for six, seven months now and have run many tanks of gas through it and worked this fire season with it. Albeit, short fire season for me. I like the 575 better than the 372. I liked the 372 better than the 371, the 371 better than the 282...so on and so forth. They all had something a little different. Change is here and always has been.
MY 575 is one fine, powerful, well balanced saw. I'll say it again. The ONLY "problem" I've had is the fact it takes a little longer to warm up on cold days. Not a problem at all really. While I'm at it, I like International Pickups better than any other too! So, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Oh brother, here we go. Little jp got his feelings hurt.
I believe we are posting here to get the truth about saws. Not a piss & moan contest. O.K. little jp!
So now you can keep you smart-a$$ comments to yourself.
Just because you buy a new saw yearly don't mean the rest of us do. I happen to take care of my saws so they last a lot longer than a year.

My feelings aren't hurt ya' little crybaby. You need a diaper changing? Sheesh.
I take very good care of my saws, just like having a new one each year.

That is all fine and dandy!!!

You like the 575 and some of us don't!!!

Case closed and dismissed!!!

The local gut I ordered the 372 from tried to switch me over to the 575. There are a few guys on this site whose opinion I trust, therefore, I stuck to the 372.

jp, you're new here, don't take it personally. I'm sure you know about your saws like the rest of us. As time goes on, folks will get to know you better, and may listen to you more.

272 or 281
Not that it really matters......

272 I believe...was a few years ago, Whichever saw Husky repalced with the 371XP. I did have a Husky 282 once! It was an old(made in the 50's?) Husqvarna motorcycle. It was a running machine back in the day. It was patched up pretty good by the time it made it into my hands, but I loved it just the same.

And, just quit runnin your mouth so much, little jp.
Post your experience's with your saws, and not your under-valued, unrelated comments.
I am STRONGLY considering the 575 saw, and the 372. Thats why this thread is good info for me. Even what YOU have to say about the 575 is informative.
So stick with the saw details and keep your opinions to yourself.
