Not that I actually need either, but if you were to get one and have it modified by Yoda or Obi, which would be the choice? I'm in the mood to do something else after the 2149 G and 3120 D, so what's the vote?

Hi Doug, I dont know much about the 395, but I love my 385 by Obi, I almost offered it up at this weak moment, but I need it for some tall timber. I like the picture you took as a sharp dressed man. I must try to outdo you with sandals and loincloth, but Rotax is the only dude I know that cranked up an 046 in a Hotel room in B.C. after the neighbours asked us politely to keep the noise down. He must not feel too theatened by us Canadians.

Hey Doug, I`d second what Gypo said about loving the 385. you might not be impressed with it after running your 3120, but then again maybe you would considering the substantial weight difference. My Greffardized 385 handles buried bar cuts in big hardwoods like my Walkerized 346 handles 12 "ers, FAST! Russ

Neither. On paper, and in a competititon, the Dolmar PS-7900 blew away the 385 and 046M
I would like to see one up close and personal. But with my 372 partly built and soon to be more ,plus my strong but stock 066M, i personally dont need that size of saw.
I'm headed to Canada tonite, that creep better have my 3120 ready and loaded with nitrous....!

385 vs 395
Hello DB,
definately start with the 385 we can build a 395 later. the 395 has partial quad loops, they start down the side of the barrel and then curve back into the barrel about 1/2 inch above the base of the barrel. the case is not opened up at the bottom like the 385. you can make it perform but it will take extensive mods. instead of building a new case they just built the 395 barrel to fit on the existing 394 case. the best husky to modify for power would be to modify a good used 2100 husky. I'm presently in the middle of modifing 3 385 husky woods saws One is almost done awaiting for your call
