Was looking at an ad on craigslist(of course):dizzy: Here's exactly what it says:
Husqvarna Chainsaw - $300 (Willoughby)
Good condition, barely used chainsaw w/ case. 33 inch with hard case

Way too much bar for that saw I would think. Even with a mod?

Nah, that's the overall length...bar tip to end of power head handle.
I sure hope its overall length. If not that's way to much for such a small saw. It would be straining to turn the chain lol

I've got a 27" bar on my 455, running skip tooth chain, because I needed something with a bigger bar and it was all I could afford at the time. It does alright, but I now have an ms660 with a 32" for the larger stuff. I actually used the 455 today to cut some rounds of walnut and hickory. It tore through the 26" diameter walnut rounds fairly well, but was a bit slower on the 22" dia. hickory.

Oh hell yes! I think I heard SawTurd just the other day talking about how light, nimble, and powerful the 455 Rancher was :). Hahahaha

Light, yes, nimble, sure, powerful? Not so much, but for the price I have no complaints so far...

Prob'ly not a bad price for a Rancher if it's in good running shape. Check the compression before handing over the dough. :)

Sadly, many people buy box store saws, work 'em like a rented mule then unload 'em on unsuspecting buyers. The 455 is built for occasional use.

The Echo 590 and 600p can be bought at a big box store...not a thing wrong with that. With a simple MM and tune, they will give any other 60cc saw a run for their money. Quality built to last a long time as well.

I run a 441CM with 32" bar and it does great. But that is in softwood, never tried it in hardwood.
