I wont buy the new stihl saws well maybe the 150t cause it would be great for light trim jobs balance is nice and it weighs about as much as a wet leather glove

If the goal is a badass powerful top handle and functionality isn't a big concern, what about trying to modify a 357xp/562xp or even a 346xp to a top handle configuration. Probably take some fabrication work and probably will look funky.
One handing a ported 346xp? Hmmm...

with a anti kickback chain yeah thats a lot of saw when only one hand can be used hanging in a saddle
I like ur suggestion. Me im fine with my echo 360 it has no problems in big hard wood.

Well if it's 4hp or whatever out of a modified handle 357xp or if you could get 4hp out of a 200T it's still a lot of power to control.

I have zero experience with top handle saws BTW, I'm just throwing ideas out there.

Yeah top handle saws have there advantages but they have there down falls too even using 2 hands on The saw you dont have the leverage or control over saw like you do with a rear handle saw

A top handle saw was designed to be run one handed, the reason they say use 2 is for liability. With 18 years in tree service I've said it before and i'll say it again Stihl makes the best top handle saw period. Yes some other make nice saws too but day in, day out commercial use, durability, quality, and performance Stihl wins hands down. The new 201T's are a lot better than the first bunch.

Loving these ideas it's gotta be functional though lol practicalities the main idea ;) ofcourse this is comin from a guy that's mounting a 20hp Vtwin to a 20" push mower [emoji41] [emoji85]

So pretty much everybody agrees I should start with 200T or 201T if I can find it

I think a poulan pro engine or a echo cs 510 clam engine would work wonders but it may torque back with as quick as they snap up in rpm and rotating mass
I'm gonna have to hit up Google and educate myself some more uknow what would really be a badass is a 30cc or so.. rotary engine on average they push 3 to 5x more hp that is something I've thought about though like a clamp on rear handle with an internal throttle linkage hook up
