I know of one in Ontonagon County that is probably 5-7 feet across. I am going to actually measure it next time I am there. When I was in grade school this tree lost a limb that was 22".
 
Yea 1400 brd ft outta that puppy :) was snowin like a ***** that day and took bout half an hour to limb that sucker!

Nice sticknfor sure Not much taper. I think the last big one we had gross was 1160 but it net 950 cause of some center rot.

Sliver that's got to be close to a record for the UP.

Yea got 3 16 footers a 12 footer and two 8's outta it! The 3 16's were selects so that tree was worth some $$$$ :)

I have been meaning to measure that tree for years. I am betting it's close to a record too. It's not really tall, but it's got some heft to it.
