Is it possible to convert the air filter setup on a mk 1 to a mk 2 setup?

I don't suppose it would take more than changing the black rear carb mount plastic to work.You will need to fit the mk2 top cover as its wider at the top to accommodate the filter, ( I'm not sure if the three clip configuration is the same?)
I was looking at the IPL and the Mk2 plastic is $50... I stopped looking there. Not worth the bucks to me. thanks for the reply.
