The only Dolmars I have are a KMS4. Silver 112, and a Poulan 6000 (Dolmar 152). I have seen some very impressive 7900's but just could commit the money to one.My Dolmar 7900 which runs exceptionally smooth but the STIHL 500I is a bit lighter, so it's an upgrade . Lighter is better!
Your making me want to start bucking with the Makitas. 24 lw Total for big limbs and Total 28 regular. I got three of them here in 64cc, 64cc and 84cc. Could use a nice 79xx top end for one. The bigger chop saw cylinder can also be put on these. My Dolmar 7900 which runs exceptionally smooth but the STIHL 500I is a bit lighter, so it's an upgrade . Lighter is better!
Swapped to a stroked 351 they made a lot of money as a street sleeper. Ugly enough you wanted to win racing those with big heavy cars.130 hp 302
Which saw?How much would you sell the saw for?
They are bad ass saws. Lighter than a 660 or 661. I got mine ported by @huskihl and it's a killer strong saw with lightning fast throttle response and starts much easier that a carbed saw on choke. What is this huge cult attraction to the 500?
Those are 2200 + new ,Update, I found a 500i for sale that has been ported by ripsaw and bought it. I am very happy with it and I see what the hype was about.
