Thanks for clearing that up Husky 137, I new what Dean meant when I first read his post, but the typo when right over my head. It's like MB- a thousand mega bits.
Sillogger, all the pics were sugar maple, I haven't cut any SWO in sometime. It's hard for the buyers to tell if it's bur oak, mossycup or whiteoak, plus prices are really low on Oak. Ash is low, Maple is low, what can we cut next? Poplar, Alder, Bulgarian Bugwood?

I'd say that is square chisel, because of the gullet before the tooth there. Although I can't see a line going from the corner at a 15 degree angle downwards. I'd say it's square (ground) chisel. :hmm3grin2orange: :biggrinbounce2: ;)

Square (and ground not filed), you cant see the inside corner because of the lighting but that front side plate angle is as flat as a pancake.

I never knew that was you, slinger! Your cuts looked perfect on that tree. Good job. ;) :hmm3grin2orange: :biggrinbounce2:

Thanks - yeah the big ones are fun, but they are a lot of work. There was a handful in that unit. I used up all the film though.
If I remember right there was another around 5K, another at 4.5K and a couple 3Ks.
Good day to get paid scale.

Talk to you guys next week - flying out to Disneyland in 3 hours.

Yeah, that's how I am, I like big trees, they are more fun. You get that rush when you cut the holding strap of wood after borecutting it and you see that backcut opening, that's where the fun is. It's that 2-3 secs till it's on the ground, then it's all over but limbing and bucking and skidding. I like big oaks, they make that heavy thump, when they hit the ground. I've never felled a big douglas fir, but i'd like to.;) :D
