I managed to mill both of these logs last saturday in a total of 12 hours. Every cut was a breeze and I had not even one hiccup all day! This tree was removed due to growing literally right next to a house within arms reach.

This tree blew over into the owners driveway very near where we salvaged the "Great Maple" last year. If you look closely you can see the butt log on the deck of the crane truck and the log I milled is on my trailer. Very pretty!

Man alive, there is maple everywhere around here and it seems like the more I mill the bigger my log pile gets. I really like maple though as it has so many variances due to spalting, multiple types of figure wood, weird crazy burls, mineral staining, and girth. I have not posted in a while and thought I would share a bit of what I am upto.

Maple is THE best. No matter where you cut it the grain is always swirling and amazing up here in NE. Keep the photos comming

I went home with all three sections, it was a payed job for him from me he was just the delivery guy. I do however give him most of my cull logs for firewood to keep him smiling!

Ha! It's good, I burned up one nose bearing already which seems to be common. It's very easy to replace and inexpensive too. When are you going to show off the beast mill you made?

I have named her millzilla. It has been cutting very good lately.

. I have determined that it must be female because sometimes I think she is the best thing that ever happened to me and other times I never want to see her again (yes I am still talking about the mill).
