Looking forward to quartersawing some ham and milling some turkey today. My 1960s electroknife will make quick work of both. Probably about 1/3rd HP of finger-lopping power. I've been in the hospital w/ my daughter since Monday, so we're hoping to bust out sometime today. Long story short, a resident doesn't understand how to convert units, and thus Katelynn's potassium fell through the floor. Anyhow, I'm thankful nothing too serious happened. Sure, we're in the hospital, but Katelynn should be fine.

This has been a tremendously bad year for me in a lot of ways: losing my dad suddenly, unemployment, sister fighting cancer, but at the same time, it's also been a tremendously good year: my sister is in remission now, I graduated college with 2 bachelors degrees (geology and math, pending a final presentation for the math part), and I was fortunate enough to strengthen some old friendships and forge some new ones.

Most of all, I gained perspective. I learned a few things and gained valuable life lessons. So with that said, I'm thankful for a lot of things, and if I can beat the Black Friday rush and get a few things on my list, I'll be even more thankful. :hmm3grin2orange:

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone and drive safely!
