You're probably OK, unless these guys get enthusiastic and start rolling on you. The dog shoulder drop roll is a good indicator.:)

Well I dont know

I am not sure they will migrate other than for warmer weather...It does get in the 20's here in the winter. It's very much like Oregon but rains a lot less and pine rather than fir trees. But Hwy 49 is one of the most dangerous roads in the area. Always littered with road kill: deer, skunks, cats, raccoons and coyote. There is lots of food year around on that highway. And from my house which is up on top of a hill overlooking highway 49, they get a view of the menu. We will see.

Theres plenty of roadkill up here in the winter too, lots of deer mostly, but coons, possum, skunks, whatever. I noticed that I only see crows on the carcasses in the winter. I also have done a lot of box trapping of coons, possum and other nuisance animals year round. In the summer I have vultures as a steady companion when I check the traps. In the winter, only crows. I did some reading and they migrate to South America. These are Turkey vultures though. I am not sure what type you have there, but from the pick they look the same.

Somewhat off topic, but i read or herd somewhere about how some fallers had raptors follow them around where ever they where cutting cause of all the fresh bounty that was produced from falling trees.

Apparently the bird would follow them from one job to another, like a pet, kinda cool I think!
