Nope different chains on all 3 saws but their all my work chains.
I tried running the same bar and chain on the 2 but the 7900 will pull more raker than the 372 .
The 372 as a 8 pin and the 7900 is still 7 pin I think their is a lot more to find just gotta play with them some. 357 my work chain and 7 pin.
Hope full I can get them dialed in better before the weekend.
I do have a good chain but am saving it for the piped 346..... No! no vids of the 346 I don't want John and Mark running for more goodies it is faster.

as to work in the field, souped up or not cc is gonna make a difference.. does that 7900 really weigh in at 13.5 dry wt.
i doubtit but just asking. erik if u dont get my letter soon let me know ..

Hey Eric
I was surprised that no one asked about the stock muffler on that 7900. That was just to prove a point. I am tired of hearing that the most of the gains come from the muffler alone on that saw. Remember, those saws don't take to porting very well and there is no way it will cut with a 385.
Nice job of making it look slow.

I did weigh a new 7900 and a new 372. I lost those result, so I will have to weigh them again. I do remember that the 372 has an advertised weight of 13.4 pounds. The only way I could come up with that figure was to weigh it with the clutch cover and the falling dawg that is bolted to the engine case removed. When both saws were complete, the 7900 weighed about 6 ounces more then the 372.

Hello Dan, I dont think the 7900 needs much done to the muffler. I cut out the bottom of the basket and removed the SA screen. With just doing this it picked up quit abit.
The outlet on the stock 7900 muffler is much larger than the other brands.
