Out to the wood patch yesterday. I knocked down a big Willow last week and spent two days brushing and limbing on the top. Estimated the log remaining at 40ft and butt at over 40"
Yesterday decided to check my Mark I eyeball. Remaining log was:
56' long, Butt 38", Cutting rounds 22" at the 50' point. Still have the remaining 50 ft to go. At my age I don't put in much over 4 hours at a shot out there anymore. So far I have hauled about 3/4 cord off that tree.
Glad I decided to take the 041/24" with me. Lots of fun running that old thang. Next trip out progress will be much faster as no brushing left and I am past the last major crotch. Only have one small side branch about 1/2 way down the log.
Someday I have to learn how to use a digital camera.
