They do have a solid relationship with me. However, it has been 11 days now since processed and still nothing. Am paying workers tommorrow anyways. Thanks, and will take my business to the bank for credit card processing. It's probably because I pay them well, more than most groundies around here...alot more and plenty of kickbacks. They deserve it. Thanks again

Good for you, treating people well will keep them by you through thick and thin.

It's about the only thing I think the firewood buisness is worth ;) keeping guys working when there is nothing else to do.

Just so you all understand, I don't pay anything under the table. It is always paid by check, and every Friday. Just wish that I would have never started this cc thing, cause none of this was worth it. I am not trying to not pay, not trying to avoid, and not trying to balance out the pay with previous bonuses. Thanks for all your comments. Have a great day in the trees.

Just got offline to do my business banking, direct deposit finally showed up this morning. Glad to see it, however I regret that this has caused such a ruckus and that it will not happen again. Still going to switch to be with my bank. Hope that if nothing else, that if there were others out there that read this thread that you have learned from my mistake. And I realise that from reading all of these posts, that what I did, was not any better than what the cc company did to me. Even though I know that my workers understand, for this reason I will open a seperate business savings account to cover times like the one I just had. I know that being a small business is certainly no excuse, just caught up in my frustrations with the cc company and glad that they finally placed the money where it belonged. ........Never again a day late a dollar short.

Guess you can't read. He said he was going to do just such a thing so that his guys wouldn't have to wait again.

ooh la la... yes he is a she ....thank you......workers were paid, mc cleared, and I have learned alot. Small business, great days, slow days, wonderful workers, and a woman boss that they so happen to love dispite a once and only mishap because of a credit card promise broken. Peace be with all of you. We all must learn from our mistakes, for knowone is perfect. After all, is'nt that what this arborist site is for anyways?" We must learn from others may it be good or bad. Is'nt the purpose of a thread to hear from others to agree or to disagree? Thanks again, not only for the ones that understood on replies to this matter, but to the ones that were "red", they opened my eyes also to set aside monies for times like this. Just never had this problem, and never will again. God bless you all. I really do appreciate all your comments and help.

newfie, not even a union could help you! & the point being made was help not having to wait for pay. dah!! & if your gonna post an eleven day wait, well everyone gives their opinion! ya know! an opinion is like a newfie everyone has one! check with your local union maybe they can help, hahaha. be safe Whatta Rush....LXT

I would post an opinion on your last post but I couldn't find an intelligent and coherent thought. That's the great thing about unions though, They don't care if you are a competent worker or even all that smart. They just want your union dues.

hey tree wizard, you own your own small business, or are you working for someone else? I am not a big company, my workers respect me, and know that they have always got paid when the check hits the bank.

Nature's Way, just curious... if you don't get paid for a job (check bounces, whatever) do your workers not get paid then???

(for background info, i am not in any form of tree business, but am a female who owns 3 small businesses...)

newfie, I totally agree!! unions are a dues collection agency without the representation, by the way I am no longer and have not been union affiliated for goin on 6 years now, I left in 2000 and started my tree care serv. I just refer to a union in my post`s due to them specifically having only tree care personnel. even the unions in their training aspects have cheapened themselves the trades in general need an enema or tommorrows workforce is gonna be sad!! LXT..................
