911

Consider how bad the injury is, can one of the crew take the man to the hospital faster than the 911 crew can get there. We had a supervisor fall off a truck and break his wrist but he refused to leave the site to get medical attention and no one dared overrule his word but me. I called the office to let them know he refused to leave but after talking to the owner he said he would get to the hospital at the end of the day. I called the hospital to tell them he would be coming in about 4:30pm and besides the broken wrist do not let him leave without checking him out for a stomach ulcer. Called his wife and asked her to call the hospital and give them his medical history. He was mad as a wet hen when the hospital kept him to fix his stomach ulcer aside from having to rebreak his wrist to reset it as it had begun to set out of place as the day went on. He had 3/4 of his stomach removed to fix his ulcer and was off work 8 weeks and had a desk job for 4 months to heal up. They didn't have 911 back then but you need to inform the 911 team of any other health problems the injured person has whether they want you to or not. He may have been mad at me when he went to the hospital and they kept him but he could have died from that ulcer if he let it go any longer.
