Anyone else been faced with removing an oak just hugely overloaded with maturing acorns to the point that it starts raining 200 plus pound branches on the house, drive, n'bor's property, road....causing the tree to have to be removed even if it was cut back?

It happened about 3 years ago and their slate roof was busted up, car crashed, wires down, and neighbor's a/c squashed and one close call to a pedestrian.

Now another bumper crop. I cut some back last week (huge tree) and when doing hold and tosses over wires I noticed that branches are more than double the weight. It is not just on the tips either.

It is odd to me and the last time like I said was this tree 3 years ago. They called me last week then again tonight and asked that I do what I can no estimate. Half hour later called and said "take the tree down" we have had it. I said we will plant another one if you want.
