Cuts

Looks like the right tool for the job if you aren't worried about making proper pruning cuts. I could get up the tree and cut a branch at 26' before that thing was even set up. Also notice the adapter for spraying tree paint!

this guy lives up the road from me and offers a tree service. i called one day to ask if he was looking for any climbers. thats when he started on and on about his invention. we dont need climbers, we just add a pole. lmao!! from experience, after 25 feet of extensions the pole clip will snap the pole in half. i was clipping white pine:dizzy:. imo its a gimmick. people will buy anything if they watch a good sales pitch. that thing is an accident waiting to happen and should be sold with a hard hat! the dude is just another hack. every tree in his yard has been toped and or side lined/stubbed off with that thing. every single cut is a rip

man oh man, I have found a way to git-r-done, get me 100ft of drop cord and a bunch of add a poles and it's on, I can keep my fat azz on the ground for sure.....

You guys can all laugh at him, but I think it's a pretty good idea if it was only targeted at the homeowner. After all, who hasn't seen some homeowner with a $50 electric chainsaw (or electric hedge trimmer)duct taped to a Home Depot telescoping pole pruner.

He loses his credibility by trying to market to tree service companies. Especially with those low end Black and Decker tools on the end.

It's funny that people laugh this off yet stihl sells a ton of power pruners that extend. Same thing at the root level and plenty of company's own them.

Not the same thing really mate. Stihl pole saw is petrol powered and the telescoping shaft is aluminium. It is possible to bend them but you have to really work at it. That add a pole on the other hand is electric (shudder) and looks far too flexible to give decent control. Add neck and lower back strain as well as how easy it would be to cut domestic power supply with one..... In my opinion this tool will cause an shock related fatality in its first year of sales...maybe even its first month.

You have a point on the back strain part.

Light amounts of weight at the end of a lever can cause back injury if the lever is long enough.

most of us have used 4 extensions or more on a jamison fiberglass pole. while its not real comfortable. its pretty useful at pulling hangers out or clipping the tips of trees that can not support ones weight.

We often use orchard ladders on some species that are in the 20-30ft range due to them being so tightly branched and thin that you can not simply set your line in. A tool like this one would keep us off the ladder if it really worked. Call me nuts, but I get nervous on top of my 18ft orchard ladder. HATE LADDERS. Rather be 100ft in the air on a climbing line than be 18ft on a ladder.

I had one employee put the pole end of an orchard ladder on a concrete porch. End skidded and sent him crashing down breaking three ribs and a mouth full of blood. So as a business owner I am always looking at new ideas with an open mind in regards to safety and efficiency.

I dont believe electric is the answer, or a cord running down the shaft and among other things why I wouldn't buy it, but If they sold an HT131 that was 24ft and I could connect the trimmer head attachment or the 12" powered head to it I would atleast give it a try.

The ticket to a lighter pole power pruner is not steel, aluminum or any metal, its carbon fiber.

You can do a nice job with a gas powered pole saw if you know what you're doing. They work great for clearing phone lines.
