Does this count..?? It is the LOUDEST saw I have.....and I do have some loud saws.....just nasty sounding...stock muffler I assume...

My ears won't take that kind of "muffler." I had a Homelite XL12 that had the stack muffler and I had to take it off and put the tin muffler on it..I have a XXV with the alloy muffler and it's normally loud too but it has bad compression now so it's pretty quiet..

I love the stack sounds like my first dirt bike

Not sure I've had the muffler off this one, I'll have to check. The saw has a few paint nicks and I assume some scuffs on the bottom..

I love the stack sounds like my first dirt bike

I'm getting a good case of tinnitus, ringing in the ears, and it turns into a headache if I hear too many loud sounds. Sometimes the cricket sounds stop but usually stay with me. So if I use a saw I generally go for one with a decent muffler plus ear phones..

Great saws and I have 5 of the S25DA and CVA variants. ONly issue is I wish there was easier access for carb adjustments. Lots of power however.

Been thinking of building an adaptor for this one to run a small cone filter as the filter fell apart when I pulled it to check. Easy carb adjustment but it would probly look awful.
