Any tips using Kool Grind?

I just got some kool grind and was trying it for the first time tonight. I am not having great luck with it so far. For one thing I was using too much at first.

I have heard several folks recommend it. Any tips on using it? How often to dress the wheel with it, etc?

I am using it on a couple Silvey grinders with blue ceramic wheels.

Apply it (just a touch to the wheel) every few cutters. It takes a little time to build up on the wheel.

I only use mine on the edge of my stone (not the top) and when appling I spin the Kool Grind in my hand so it stays flat and not so messy the next time I go to use it.
