Some people have all the luck. A friend was out walking the other morning
in the village when she found a chain saw laying on the side of the road. It was a new MS210 top handle Stihl. Evidently it fell off the back of a truck the night before. Our friend's husband called all the local trimmers and even called the village and town highway departments. So far no one has claimed it. I guess I have to get my wife up and walking too.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I lost one. If you want to send it back to me that would be great.

Folks from Iowa like to drive over into Illinois and dump along our levee road. The majority is trash and things they are too cheap to take to the landfill. There is also the occasional pet which generally is dispensed. Every Fall there are as many as many as 50 Iowa duck hunters everyday that come over on our side of the river to lauch there boats. One of them walks the levee trying to clean up the junk. He once found a couple saws hidden under a tarp. He took them to the police. They turned out to be stolen from a neighbor. There was no reason why they were left on the levee but at least the owner got them back.

We were working in the Naples area recently, one of our MS 200T,s is missing, I think it is one of ours. I'll gladly pay shipping and a small finders fee to get it back.

Sorry Fish. BTW I was stationed at Bangor and lived in Poulsbo back in the 80's. I guess the area has grown quite a bit since then. How's the fishin in the Sound?:)

OK then....is it 4.....or 8......or 10? I lost 200Ts with those number on them too! :hmm3grin2orange: Just kiddin'. I'll quit pestering ya. Sounds like you got a good find there.

Fishing in the sound? Meh, better than some places, but too many people, too few fish. I'm a flyfisherman, and like to fish alone where it's quiet. I avoid alot of the sound because of all the Seattle guy in there messing around. I fish out west for Steelhead and trout and leave the salmon alone....and I love salmon!

Didn't lose one, but I found one once.

I found an 020T, the one I use now. It was deep in the bushes on our property, the only thing I can think is the telephone guys had been clearing access where there used to be a phone line and left it. It had been there a while, the bar was badly bent and the chain was rusted to it, air filter a nightmare, clutch seized with rust but the piston pulled over. I got a new bar and chain, a new clutch and away it went. It just got a new two jet carb two weeks ago, still going strong! :biggrinbounce2:

Try calling RG&E (or whoever your utility is.) It may belong to one of the line clearance crews they have working for them. A friend of mine had a saw returned to him this way after it fell off a chipper in Irondequoit.

Utilities

Beowulf, I talked to him last night and he planned on calling NYSEG. I said the same thing to him. It's funny tho that there is no property tags on it, just a number written with sharpie. I wonder if a worker is afraid to tell his boss he lost a $500 saw.

Farthest response

i might have ,, just describe it to me and i'll tell you if its the right one.:hmm3grin2orange:

Maveric, You win the prize for responding from the furthest. I can send the saw to our plant in Plymouth and you can pick it up there. If if gets through customs.

If you're that good of a person, you can get ahold of a dealer or Lakeside Andy here, and they may be able to track it to a dealer go from there.

I say just shut the heck up and enjoy your new saw! :D If someone is going to put a 200T somewhere it can get lost (not stolen, that's different) or fall off a truck or whatever deserves to lose it.
