It hasn't gone unnoticed that some site sponsors pay to advertise, while some pay to advertise and then also generously share their knowledge with members. Content is definitely what brings me to this site!

I've also seen some guys generously donating saws in raffles for charritable causes. My hat's off to all of you (you know who you are) and I certainly do appreciate the hard earned knowledge you share. Plenty of other professionals keep their knowledge under lock and key.

+1 For Sure.
This sites greatness is due to the incredible and dedicated experts who consitantly contribute without an expectation of anything, but to share!
Good on all of you!!

And did you notice she had installed a different (and larger) shoe rack in the closet?

True story: when we bought our house I installed a wall of cubbies in her walk-in for her shoes. Guess what? Every hole has at least two pairs of shoes and the closet floor is covered too. That's why I buy says without question!!

What kind of rewards are we talking? Family and/or friends giving the poster a saw?

Happened to me, uncle gave me an old Craftsman with a badly scored cylinder, and a couple nice guys here sent me project saws. However, I am not sure if I'll get another one because I'm taking so long to work on the 790... I'm sure a few are still a little mad at me.

Another friend of mine gave me a 1-43, Super 44A, a bunch of trimmers, a backpack blower, and some lawn mowers. I gotta go get a trailer load of saws from him at some point, and the 460/5 speed. I think it might cost me a case or two of Black Velvet to get him to let go of all those goodies... and I gotta get a trimmer up and going to give back to him. Problem is the fuel that I filled it up with had become contaminated with water (thank you damn ethanol... the gas was only a few weeks old ) and I think it's toast. Probably gonna have to swap a different one on with a new ring on the piston.

And dump that water contaminated ethanol crap into the Ranger so it doesn't ever get into another two stroker. I gotta find ethanol free somewhere. I think I'll check Shell V-Power for ethanol, and if it passes with no ethanol, you bet I'll be getting gas for the two strokers and all other important yard equipment from them if it's ethanol free. Maybe load a barrel or two onto the trailer and fill them up.

As for AS giving us stuff, never heard of such a thing. I'm hoping I'll get a Super 797 or something after I make a certain amount of posts. (hint... it doesn't have to run... ;))

... dangitall... made a long post. My apologies. Too lazy to pick and choose and delete, since I just got done loading our trailer with poplar that is being traded straight up for oak and ash.

How about it all you big posters/highly credited users, show off your apparel, savings/coupons and other goods. Anybody get a free chainsaw?

most apparel now a days is made over seas, especially hats. so its a mute point to mail them out because most will throw them in the trash before wearing foriegn garbage. we all know everyone on here only buys american.

Um... I bought a HF 1 ton arbor press so I could press the wrist pin out of a Mac piston/rod assembly... and use the heck out of a CH 60 gallon compressor... and use the crap out of the HF air hammer, cut off wheel, and die grinder...

However, I do buy American when I can. Sometimes I just can't, as much as I want to.

Except those of us that are arn't Merican.

Being foreign garbage I'll continue to wear, damn, my bloody clothes aren't made here either.

Who said we'll all end up naked ?

In the vast majority of cases I'd suggest that may not be a good look and could very well put you off your dinner.
Or worse

You can also buy points. 1.00 will get you 100. Click on Market (in the green band above), then click on Converter.

So taking that in reverse, I've contributed USD$8.50 worth of value to this site? I feel so cheap.

I'd accept that though.... but Brad's contributions have got to be worth more than $42.70

Sawtroll on the other hand... well... he ought to be in debt!:blob2:
