Amoungst My Saws........Fool That Has Too Many!!!
This is the way that I have been storing my throwline for about 5 yrs. now. The post in the bottom of the bucket is secured with a bolt from underneath. The line spools off of the spool like an open face fishing reel. you can take the reel out to spool up the throwline after use. I have yet to have a tangle with this setup.

F- cube for me. With all the leaves on the ground around here I can not have the string on the ground it needs to be contained. With the cube it is very fast to flake back into the cube after every miss. When the target is hit the string gets put away while installing the rope.

Line storage - Big shot

I use a water-ski rope holder, it coils rope fast! Takes very little space to store. Nice big shot, I been wanting one for some time. How many pieces of rod did you go through trying to get the bends right. It looks good. :blob2:

What you see was my 2nd attempt. The first bigshot head worked but the bends were egg-shaped because I bent the 3/8 rod cold. A friend of mine has that one. The 2nd bigshot head ( the one in the picture ) was heated with a torch and bent around a magnetic grounf for welding. This has worked great for about 4 yrs. or so.

Rich,

Try making your jpgs smaller. Having them larger than the screen makes them hard to view. I've been saving mine with the longer dimension at three inches. I'm not sure if this one is scaled right or not.

Does your bs go into the bucket?

Tom, Thanx for the pic size advice. I just got this camera a few days ago. I need to work out the bugs. Yep, the BS head goes in the bucket along with another spool of throwline and some other stuff.

I don't see how you can use a sort of spool. That is just a modified stick.

Ok, I got jumped on before by others so I will let it be.

The F-cube seems the way to go. $75-$90 is a bit outrageous.

I am using spydie's latest suggestion from Target. I got mine at Walmart for $4. Hypothetically speaking, don't start going down the highway, get curious and open that thing before you get home. It explodes open!!

The cube is the way to go. I have three from QVC, much like the Sherril ones of which I have two, a bit cheaper, maybe not made as well. The ones fofom Mike Maas's link look similar. Cube or bucket is the only way to go. Try it, Rich. Quicker than your method, with only the occasional tangle.

Cheap to get, easy to maintain.

Besides, I use a throwline maybe once a year.
