Anyone have a Dewalt 20v brushless saw?

Last night I went fishing on the Wisconsin river with a bunch of family members, and had a pretty fun time, but the skeeters were thick, and the fish wern't really biting, but it was fun Anyway. We cut up some downed tree's and started a camp fire....while cutting up the wood my brother noticed his oiler quit working on the saw, so he is gonna contact Dewalt. I did some researching, and found that this may be a common problem for these saws. It really stinks because it is a really good camp saw.
Have any of you guys had the same problem?

That stinks, I was really hoping for a different answer then that. I will check out the breakdown of the saw. Do you know if the M18 is any better? We really need a camp saw, and with all the M18 tools my brother and I already have, it would be a perfect fit. Unfortunatly when my bro bought the Dewalt, the M18 wasn't out yet.

I personally have the m12 and m18 stuff. Most Milwaukee is top notch. Are you looking at a M18 saw?

$150 more and two REAL bar nuts it's probably a lot better, but I'll look into it a little more and see what I can find. Like I said, Milwaukee makes some of the best power tools out there. There is no better 12v hammer drill or impact driver, and the m18 hammer drills are awesome but bulky.

My 12v drill has no problem putting a 9" structure screw through 9" of hardwood. Name another 12v product that can breeze through a chore like that.

I won't buy anything without first examining the Milwaukee product first. Cost is usually the only thing that sucks about them.

Oh it's brushless, I guarantee it's badass, and it's probably very well engineered, but I've never inspected one.

The battery might be a sticking issue since he's already got m18 stuff, but I would think Husky could make a great electric saw if anyone could.

My m12 impact driver will take 110lb lug nuts off. That's with a skinny little hex bit shaft. It's amazing really.

I just a bought a Milwaukee Mid-Torque impact last week. Was $339 and Home Depot had it for $199 for 24hrs online i just stumbled upon it and had to buy it.

I would seriously consider the 40v Ryobi chainsaw. They are made by the same conglomerate that makes Milwaukee tools now, it's not complete junk like it was 10-15 years ago, but it's less expensive. It's got bar nuts too.

I don't know about Ryobi, I like Milwaukee a lot better, plus between me and my brother, we have 8 or 9 batteries. I'm not bashing Ryobi, but my old boss used to have a tool grave yard that was full of Ryobi, and harbor freight junk....I have never killed a Milwaukee, or a Dewalt tool, but I cannot say the same about Ryobi. Even if the same conglomerate that build Ryobi tools builds Milwaukee tools, I doubt they are built to the same standard.

I know. I have one of the first M18 drill, and impact sets. I wanna say I got it 6 or 7 years ago for a fathers day present. it works very good. Before that I used the power plus line, which was another line of awesome products from Milwaukee. But I do have to say, the M18 line don't seem to be built quite as well as the power plus line was built. But then again Power Plus was built the USA....M18 is built in China.

That looks like a keeper. Me and my bro are gonna discuss it later, but we may both chip in and get the M18.

I believe the makita or the ryobi saw accepts two batteries at once and did really well in a review I saw. I cannot remember if it had two bar nuts, as mentioned in this thread desalt screwed that up big time.

The Milwaukee did really well too, but only accepts one battery. IMO if you already have Milwaukee batteries this would be the way to go.

One thing I don’t like about any of them is the price, up here the Milwaukee is 550$ CAD, you can get a 455 rancher or a pro 40cc husky saw for literally 100 more
