It was!

I called before Bubba posted and was told it was an 066 and that it was already sold. Left my number and told seller if the deal falls through to call me...... low and behold the seller calls and the first guy walked. I agreed to meet and he even offered to meet half way and when he pulls the saw out... its an 028 super! I looked at him and said "that's an 028, not an 066, I came for an 066. I drove 45 minutes for an 028??!!! Was raining cows and horses, took longer because of that. Guy looks at me and says, I told you on the phone it was an 028...NO you didn't, I specifically asked that it was an 066 and you said yes. I turned to walk away and he say's that him and his wife are having some hard times and the saw needs to go and that he was sorry for the misunderstanding. Wife is in the car and they looked like they were in need. Doesn't justify the fact that he lied in no way shape or form and I told him that. My daughter is looking out the window and saying that its not like the picture, I almost laughed when she said.... It's not an 066!

Call me whatever you'd like.... been there. Old softy offered $60 and brought it home. Bar and chain was worth that and I've got a guy asking me for an 028 on the back burner because I didn't have one ready when he asked for a saw.

Had a nice 20" bar and 3/8 chain anyway, it'll go on an 044 I have and this one will get a nice little 16" one instead.

Was raining so hard I didn't even bother to look it over until now.

Started on the second pull, needs the high/low adjusted and a muffler mod. Will double my money if not triple it and I got a free bar and chain out of it anyways.... CAD is a killer!

Probably should have just walked, but walking away from a saw in need of a good home and at a good price.. I couldn't resist!:help:

At least you may break even on the travel expense. Good grab. Not sure why some people make up stuff like that, do they think someone won't notice it's not an 066?

I was looking at a truck in Michigan one time and the seller assured me the truck wasn't rusty. Not sure how he defined rust but you could've thrown a football through it without touching metal. It was completely a rust bucket. Was about 8" above the wheel wells that was completely gone. It took my about 8 seconds to realize this deal wasn't going down and I was puzzled that the guy completely wasted my time. Guess he figured I just wouldn't notice the missing portions? lol.

I just hope the azzhole didnt really sell an 066 for 150 bucks if it wasnt to me.

He could have either had one and sold it, or just stole the pic somewhere to rip someone off. Either way, it sucks.
