Nova had a really good two hour special on the history of Wildfires in the US going back to the 1800’s. Really good stuff, I learn a lot, like who Poluski was, (sorry if I messed up the spelling).
 
I didnt see that special, but sounds like the kinda show I would be found watching!!!
What is the state of these fires burnnin op north? It seems there is very little coverage in the states on it concidering the severity of them. Is there hope in sight yet for containment or are they still out of control?

I just checked and it’s going to be on again Thursday night! Really worth watching.
 
Doh, Sorry! Forgot that are people who don’t live in Oregon. Oregon Public Brodcasting. I think Nova shows on most public broadcasting channels.
 
I saw it, looks like only Stihl can handle the heat --didn't see a husky being used.
