anyone use Opti-2 oil

My local saw dealer is trying to sell me on Opti-2 synthetic oil,does anyone have any experience with it? Big Dan

I've used it a few times - good oil, good reputation in the industry as far as I know. I know a guy that has a tree service and he swears by it. Matt

Used it for two or three years with very good luck. Still have the same plug in all the saws and they look great on the insides.

I used it for about 4 years with no issues. Since I have joined this site, I have switched back to Stihl orange bottles. No scientific reasons for the switch, just personal preference.

Optimol is a giant scam!

There is nothing wrong with the oil. But there is nothing special about it either. You aren't paying more for the oil, you are paying extra for the "insurance policy" that goes with it.

I used to work for an equipment distributor, and Optmol was one of our lines. The guy who worked for Optimol was a decendent of one of those old west con men selling elixirs out of the back of the wagon. Remember the creep in the white suit selling the little bottles in Josey Wales? That's Optimol!
