While cutting up trees here in North Alabama after the storms last week, I somehow lost my oil cap. Luckily, my SIL found it in her front yard, but now it's not captured like it used to be. So I want to get a spare in case it happens again.

Anyone have a Husky 350 parts saw who would want to sell me the oil cap?

Thanks,

Al

Bailey's online??

Maybe it's just the gasket/ring for the cap...$2.99 at Bailey's. Complete cap assembly listed also.

Unless you want to buy the whole parts saw, it will be easier and quicker to just buy a new cap.

Oil cap is $4.99, shipping is $11.96, total almost $17.

I was hoping someone would sell me one here for a little cheaper than that.

Nearest supplier is about 12 miles away near downtown Huntsville. Maybe there's one near Athens, I go there more often.

Thanks,

Ouch:msp_scared:
$12 bucks shipping on a cap....sounds like you're shopping local!

Seen some on fleabay.

Try Northwood saw. They are a sponsor here, and a treat to deal with. Shipping is very reasonable to the east coast from them. Your local Home Depot sells Husqvarna also, and should be able to order it for you. They may have one in stock. I would ask about shipping before ordering there. Even if you find a cap here, you're still going to be at $5 for shipping. Otherwise, you're going to have to make the arduous 12 mile trek to the store and buy it there......:jester:

12 miles to buy saw parts? That would be very close for me! And I'd enjoy the trip, might even pick up some oil and a chain or two while there :msp_wink:

Also, I would never order one small part. I'd get together an order large enough so shipping $ wasn't a problem.

Just Get-er-done.

I guess a certain supplier is trying to discourage folks from making small purchases.

Great post!

A part with probably an $0.80 profit - not even close to the time it takes to process the order, pick the part, package it, ship it, and pay the credit card fees of an online order. In business to make money, not give it away :wink2: Yes it's frustrating, but certainly justified.

There's a bunch on eBay under $9.00 including shipping. Make sure you get one attached to the little lanyard ..... :hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:
