One other thing that would speed navigation and should take but moments, would be to arrange the forum heading by number of posts and threads. Highest number at top and least popular to the bottom.

Still waiting for a darker font or darker shade of green for titles. Looks like some overall improvement was made since yesterday though overall. Doesn't take long to get used to it either.

Now maybe I am not understanding correctly, but the way I understand what you suggested would put brand new threads (with the initial 1 post) at the very bottom.. nobody would ever see them.

I think he was saying "forum", not thread. In otherwords, Chainsaw would be at the top because it gets used a lot. International moves down because it doesn't get many posts. Of course, it looks like that would put off topic up top, and I am pretty sure off topics belong at the bottom...

I'll throw my 2 cents in on the ads: While it is a little annoying to scroll past them after every time, they keep the lights on around here and that is a 'price' I personally am willing to pay. Maybe having the "premium" ads at the top and the lower cost ads down the side would leave room for a happy medium???

On the original question: I could see having subforums for the most used forums, but if you break up some of the less used forums, there would be one post per subforum and that just doesn't make sense.

We are leaving forums the way the are because of organization. They are grouped appropriately.

Is there anything else you want to hear about or don't want to hear feedback about after posting this thread for ideas?

Because your last reply seems to connote this thread has reached its course if I understand the OP correctly.

I can tell you that I am not going to subforums at this moment. I have seen sites die because of it and I don't want to set myself up for that. You can send me an email at [email protected] if you want to send sites that use a format that you think would work. I can tell you that I won't ever stop listening to my members. I have received many great ideas since the beginning. I can't change something every time somebody wants something done but I think I would be an idiot if I didn't listen to the members. So never think the door is closed when it comes to talking with me.

Darin, first I say your doing one hell of a job and I hope not to sound like I am putting on but you are doing a great job... at whatever it is you are doing. Its always good to change things around although its certain to be confusing at first but the same ole is just the same ole. Guess that's why there is so much ####.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble just wanted to say, you do this, I do that and we both try real hard so we all are trying together and what could be better?
The only thing I would like humbly to suggest is that you always have the smiley of the beer mugs toasting up there on the right for general conveinience. I dunno, it seem out of all of them I use it the most and am assuming it might be so in general.
So there then, great job and another Happy Year at AS. Thanks for all your work Darin.

I will let Chris know. I think they should also be a little bigger in that box like it used to be. It has like 1/3 of dead space right now.

Thanks for the complements!!
